JAGRITI : A talk on 4 way Test on Ambedkar Jayanti

On 18 April 2026, birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a grand and inspiring “Jagruti Abhiyan” was jointly organized by Rotary Patna City Samrat at Jesus and Mary Academy, Patna City. Traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the National Anthem and a welcome song. Father Lawrence introduced the objective of the event and encouraged the youth to follow Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals for building an equal and progressive society.which truly followed the Ritary Four Way Test. Distinguished speakers including Dr. Vijay Kumar Vimal, Prez Rtn. Abhishek Patrick, Mr. Kashif Yunus, and Rtn. Mrs. Pooja N Sharma, First Lady shared inspiring thoughts on constitutional rights, youth empowerment, social harmony, and women empowerment. The program was effectively anchored by Simran Shah. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Father Lawrence.

FREE PHYSIOTHERAPY HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP

Rotary Patna City Samrat Organised a Community Service On April 12 2026 free Physiotherapist and health check-up camp at Bihar Chamber of commerce Patna. The camp was guided by Dr Ravi Lumar, eminent Physiotherapist who examined all the needy people. The free camp provided Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing, free consultation, free physiotherapy and free essential medicines. A large number of club members were present and assisted in the examination of all the needy people. Rotary Samrat President Abhishek and Secretary Om Prakash and many club members honored Dr. Ravi and their team.

Participation in WOMEN EMPOWERMENT WALKATHON

Report on WALKATHON | Multi-Club Mega Rally – District 3250 A grand multi-club rally involving all Rotary Clubs of District 3250 was successfully organized under the dynamic leadership of District Governor Rtn. Namrata. The event, themed “All in Pink”, was dedicated to promoting women empowerment and their upliftment in society. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from Rotarians across the district, spreading a strong message of unity, strength, and support for women’s causes. The vibrant presence of participants dressed in pink added energy and visibility to the initiative. Our club, Rotary Patna City Samrat, actively participated in this mega rally and contributed to its success. The event turned out to be a remarkable platform to create awareness and reinforce Rotary’s commitment towards empowering women. Overall, the rally was a huge success and left a lasting impact on the community.

Report on Ram Navami Community Service On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Rotarians of our club actively participated in a meaningful community outreach initiative. As part of the service, we distributed drinking water, beverages, light refreshments, and flowers to approximately 5,000 pilgrims taking part in the grand procession. To further highlight Rotary’s commitment to service, various community service projects were showcased through informative banners during the event. The initiative was well-received and reflected Rotary’s spirit of “Service Above Self.”

Career Guidance Session Report Under the Vocational Service Avenue focusing on Basic Education and Literacy, a Career Guidance Session was conducted for Std. X and XII students. Rtn. Dr. Sushil Poddar, along with Rtn. Abhishek Patrick (District Coordinator, RLI) and Rtn. Pooja Sharma, guided students on choosing appropriate career streams. Workshop Report A meaningful workshop on Pre-Teen Development was successfully organized by Rotary Patna City Samrat at Jesus & Mary Academy Campus, Kamasikoh, Patna City at 12:00 PM. The session was conducted by esteemed speakers Rtn. Dr. Shilpi Golwara (Associate Professor & Pediatrician, NMCH Hospital) and Dr. Anuradha Singh (Associate Professor & Pediatrician, PMCH Hospital), who shared valuable insights on the physical, mental, and behavioral development of pre-teen children. Key topics included behavioral changes in this age group, the role of parents and teachers in guiding children, effective communication with children, and practical solutions to common challenges during this stage. The workshop was highly informative and well appreciated by all participants, including teachers and parents.

TO ENHANCE THE ROTARY PUBLIC IMAGE, our club put banners of Rotary services during a huge religious procession comprising more than 5000 pilgrims. Drinks, water and flowers were offered to them. They reciprocated equally and appreciated our efforts. We do it every year to keep the Rotary flag high. It’s an annual project where Shree Shyam Baba’s Nishan Yatra takes place every year in month of Feb. Display of Banners of Rotary certainly enhances the Rotary Public Image and invites membership.

MEGA EYE SCREENING CAMP

Our Rotary Club of Patna City Samrat successfully conducted its annual full day eye check up camp in memory of its member Late Rtn. Navneet Ballabh ji, today Sunday | 11 January, 2026 in association with our member Rtn. Dr. Abhishek Golwara, Golwara Clinic,Chowk, Patna City. Nearly 700-80 individuals, mostly belonging from Patna Sahib & the surrounding area, benefitted from this eye camp. Throughout the days check up, 108 were detected to be treated further for cataract surgery, This event received the highest appreciation from the local authorities, including full news coverage on electronic media. President Abhishek Patrick and speakers Chair Rtn. Bijay Yadav, Co-chair Rtn. Deoraj Ballabh and the whole team of Rotarians from the club expressed their strong interest and dedication to uniting people of various faith & traditions through social causes and for the betterment of society.

Rotarians of our club actively participated and distributed sweets, snacks and hot drinks to the pilgrims and public of Sri Guru Govinds Singh ji annual mega procession from Gay Ghat to Harmandir Gali main Gurudwara where thousands of people gather and enjoy the birth anniversary of sri Guri Govind singh ji. All Rotarians of club gathered at Uma petrol pump at City court led by Chair IPP Rtn. Deoraj Ballabh. Rotary service projects were displayed on banners. This certainly enhanced the Rotary Public Image.

On 17 November 2025, an important session on the project “Digital Detox for Adolescents” was conducted By Rotary Patna City Samrat at Jesus and Mary Academy, Patna City, for students of Classes 10 to 12. The session was led by Rotarian Dr. Shilpi Golwara, who provided valuable insights into the rising impact of social media on today’s youth. Introductory speech was done by Prez Abhishek and led by Chair Rtn. Pooja Sharma. This project, initiated by our club, aims to create awareness among young students about the harmful effects of excessive social media use and to guide them on how to protect themselves and maintain a healthy digital balance. A total of 1000 soups at three different locations MAHARANI ASTHAN, SIMLI, KABOOTARI GALI, GAY GHAT & KATHAK TAL, BAJRANG PURI were distributed to worshippers who wish to do pooja but cannot afford them. The club decided to help them in maximum in the most popular festival of Bihar and Jharkhand i.e. CHATH POOJA. A polio Awareness Rally in slums was organised to motivate the parents and children for polio vaccination. Food and study materials snacks and clothes were Distributed to them. Its the Poors who suffer most due to ignorance of vaccination. We moved to Slums at Bricks making Industrial areas around Ganges banks at Sabalpur and motivated parents and children for Polio vaccination. The club will support them for this drive. Members motivated the parents for polio drops to be given to their children.

The students were given the idea of Mother and Child Health, ills of Child Marriage, Menstrual Cycle and related diseases out of it and how to take preventative measures by Speaker for the day Rtn. The camp was conducted by Orthopedic Specialist Rtn. Dr. Barun Golwara and Gynecologist Dr. Shweta Agarwal, who examined all the needy people. The free camp provided Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing, gynecological examination, consultation, and free essential medicines. A large number of club members were present and assisted in the examination of all the needy people. Rotary Samrat President Abhishek Patrick and many club members honored Dr. Varun, Dr. Shweta, and their team. Rotary Patna City Samrat members, including Dr. Varun Golwara and Dr. Shweta Agarwal, played an active role and provided their complete services. Rotary Patna City Samrat organized a grand celebration on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and International Literacy Day at Arun Vilas, Bhagwat Nagar, Patna. The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Nation Builder Award, honoring Sixty educators for their invaluable contribution to society. The program was conducted in the loving memory of Late Rtn. Sudhir Prabhat, a respected teacher and Past President of Rotary Patna City Samrat who passed away recwntly. His life was dedicated to education and Rotary services. In his welcome note, Project Chair Dr. Abhishek Golwara expressed gratitude to all present, followed by Secretary Rtn. Om Prakash, who shared the achievements and ongoing initiatives of the club. President Rtn. RAKSHA BANDHAN WITH POLICE PERSONNELS

The members of Rotary Patna City Samrat and students of Interact Club of Jesus and Mary Academy, Hajiganj. We celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm. The students, from Class 6 to 10, tied handmade rakhi, on the wrists of Chowk Police Stations Officer-in-Charge, Manjeet Thakur, and other police personnel who work tirelessly to protect us. The students, including Myra, Mahi, Palak, Akriti, and others, tied rakhi on the police personnels wrists, symbolizing the bond between brothers and sisters. The program was conducted under guidance of project chair Rtn. Pooja and Prez Abhishek. On this occasion, Rotary Patna City Samrats President, Abhishek Patrick, promised to celebrate this program every year, highlighting the importance of this festival in promoting social unity and the unbreakable bond between brothers and sisters. We organised "SAMPARPAN: the Rotary District 3250 Membership & Public Image Seminar" at Hotel Chanakya, Patna. The seminar aimed to discuss strategies for membership growth, Retention, engagement and the strategies for enhancement of Rotary public image. The seminar featured esteemed speakers, including DG Namrata, PRID A.S. Venkatesh, PDG Jogesh Gambhir, Dist. Chair membership, ARC PDG Stuti Agarwal, RCM PDG Sharat Chandra, PDG Subhasish, and ARPIC Neeraj Nimesh Agarwal, among others. The seminar provided a platform for Rotarians from all over Bihar and Jharkhand to take away valuable insights in membership growth and enhancing Rotary public Image. INTER SCHOOL STATE LEVEL CHESS TOURNAMENT

A STATE LEVEL CHESS TOURNAMENT project of Rotary Patna City Samrat in association with its Onteract club , was organised for students of Jesuit Society Schools at Jesus and Mary campus of Rtn. Pooja Ann Sharma, Priject Chair. It was a mega Vocational service project where the club officers highlighted the Rotary International and its 5 avenues of services. President Abhishek Patrick highlighted the 4 way test and 7 Areas of focus to all participants. A wonderful project where 140 students from many jesuit schools over BIHAR, from places like Dehri onson , Ara, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Nawadah, Chapra, Patna etc. competed in five rounds. Competition was very well managed by our two Rotarians Prez Abhishek Patrick and Chair Pooja Ann Sharma. All Winners were awarded by the club.
